Success!

Okay, in addition to drafting last month’s story and getting my desk set up, I contacted a writer friend and scheduled sprints again. And I *just* scheduled a reading with my beta for the draft.

All before I finished my coffee.

I usually hand over 12 or 16 drafts at a clip, because Chelsea stories are short and I used to write them in batches, but baby steps. I also have to focus on getting next month’s done. Hopefully, I’ll hand over two or three next time.

In addition to writing, I have yet to finish my closet. I really do need to find my last piece of work out equipment. The lack of it successfully allowed me to put off PT this week. So no more excuses. Today is an editing day, and while I await my feedback, I will be focusing on that closet, and yes, this is a part of writing. The sooner my back is better, the longer I can sit in a chair, i.e. actually get some writing done. Also, I can put together a new playlist for Chelsea and jam out to it while I clean.

On the house-side of success, I planted my herb garden yesterday. I tried one outside last summer, but when our sprinkler adjustments weren’t successful, the desert sun destroyed my efforts. As we’re still sorting out the sprinkler situation this year, I decided on an indoor herb garden. I have a beautiful window for it in my kitchen, super deep with racks. It means I need a new home for the succulents, but the kittens have grown into cats and mostly stay off the tables these days. We’ll see what happens.
