Still not sleeping

Day four of under three hours.  I got some editing done yesterday, but I’m pretty well fried. I’m hoping to pass out early tonight and be something less than a zombie tomorrow.

I C Summer Blog Tour

My friend, DL Hungerford tagged me for this great blog tour from I C Publishing (www.ICPublishing.ca). Thanks so much, D! I always love talking about writing. Please visit her blog! She’s the best group leader, EVER! Share how you start your writing project(s). For example, where do you find inspiration? Do you outline? Do […]

Insecure Writer’s Support Group – One Day

It’s time for the monthly airing of insecurities! *Kate, you’re a day early…* Yes, logical self I know, but I have a blog hop tomorrow, and I hate posting twice in one day. So, here we go:   I’m not selling any stories. It’s super frustrating. At first, I told myself, it’s because I’m writing […]

Still working

Never did get that fight scene done yesterday. And it’s not even the fight itself, it’s the lead up to the fight. I’m reworking the some of the emotions and dialogue going in. Little things, but they make for a better story. I had a bad bout of insomnia last night. So I have no […]

Free Book Friday!

This week’s offering is the second Uncommon Animals story: Hunting In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mina Grekov has finally been reunited with her brother Matty, and she’s ready to start hunting monsters again. The only downside is his new best friend. Rick is everything Mina ran from years before, a Speaker. Rick’s ashamed of his past. Being […]

The Kindle people probably want to shoot me…

I have spent the last week adjusting my categories and key search words every 6-15 hours. Basically, as soon as the changes clear, I search for my stuff. If I can’t find it where I want it, I switch it up again. Why is this so important? Because I’m afraid my stuff is buried. I’m […]

The Long Haul

August is almost here, and with it comes not just prepping for the start of school, but publicity for my books. And prepping for the next series. What it won’t have, is a lot of writing. There are days I wish trad publishing wasn’t a scam. I would love so such to just spend all […]

So I didn’t…

Get anything useful done writing-wise yesterday. Didn’t edit, or work on my blurbs, or critique anybody. I did, however, start collecting school uniforms for my kids, found them some great backpacks at the thrift store (a jansport, messenger style bag for $2.99!),  and got the grocery shopping done. Today is haircuts for the boys and […]

Still plugging away…

I futz with my keywords, submitted to review sites, and even got some editing done this weekend. I’m going to work on my blurbs this week, both for Uncommon Animals and Monsters of Pittsburgh. We’ve hit that patch of self-publishing that is not only boring to hear about, but boring to do.
