Last night, I was giggling over how adorably sarcastic one of my new characters is, when I suddenly just couldn’t look at Scrivener for one more moment.

I’m enjoying the story and I like my characters. In fact, a new favorite should be back in a few hundred words.

But I can’t do it right now.

I’ve banged out nearly 20k words in under two weeks,  and I still have to finish this story and write the finale. I need some mental space before my damn face melts off from the internal heat.

I’m sure at some point today, I’ll sit down and bang out some words. I’m a tad compulsive like that.  But first I’m gonna clean this house and then I’m taking the kids swimming.
