While I didn’t get any editing done, I did finish October’s Chelsea story, and made real progress on painting my living room.
Our house was built in the 1970s and it shows. It’s a split-level, semi-open floor plan, and my living/dining room is a HUGE L-shaped room. It’s the truly BIG painting project in the house. We’ve patched most of the holes, and are now cleaning the walls themselves.
And by we, I mean my kids. I help out as I can. But mostly, I critique their work and show them how to do it better until my arms and back start aching. They’re going to be really pissed when they have to wipe down everything again, but we found yet another small hole about the size of a teenager’s heel and the plaster dust will be flying once more today.
Anyway, with a bit of luck, we’ll be priming by this weekend and finished by the next one. Then it’s my bedroom. After that, touch ups in the kids’ rooms. Plus all the shelving I want to make this summer.
But as to writing, I will try to get the November story done tomorrow. Tuesdays tend to be busier and Wednesdays slower, so I might find the time today, but it’s more likely to happen tomorrow. I have a good frame work for two or three stories. I might be able to get a decent buffer in by the end of this month if I can push it.
