Back again!

Yes, I started NaNoWriMo yesterday.
No, I didn’t make word count.

This is the last week of the art show, so I’m still a little busy at work. But things will get real slow, real soon.

I’m going to try to catch up, of course. On my good days, I can easily double and triple NaNo’s word count. I just need to have a few good days.

Unfortunately, I have demolished my tiny, pathetic back log of four months. So I’m definitively starting with Chelsea stories. I have December’s started, but I haven’t really planned out the next few. This will be fun, though. I’ve written some of my favorite Chelsea stories on the fly like this. I know, basically, what happens to her, I just have to keep her on the road. And right now, she’s in one of my favorite places, the southwest. And Jackson’s with her. This should lots and lots of fun to write. If I can find my focus.

On the home front, training a puppy took a lot of time and since my fall this spring, I’ve had a noted lack of energy. The puppy is now well behaved (mostly) and I’m actually not exhausted at the end of every day. I’m also not walking the dogs twice a day nor did I get a quarter of my projects done this summer. But I am doing physical therapy on the regular, especially now that I can start a fire in the morning and get the downstairs very warm. I’m debating trying to do my routine twice a week, or just upping my reps once a week. I’m not sure which sounds more exhausting.

Oh my husband bought a literal Jeepful of bolts of cloth, so I’m learning to make my own clothes (okay skirts. For now.). I’m sick and tired of everything being just a touch too short and too wide. I know how big I am, but dammit, clothes can actually fit me. </endrant>

Anyway, yeah, I’ve been and will continue to be busy being domestic, and working full time, while rebuilding my musculature, and writing.

Which takes us back to NaNoWriMo. I’m aiming for 12-16 Chelsea stories, which is a year’s worth or more of stories, and usually about what I can pound out in a month of focusing on her. I’ve tried to do more and never, ever been able to. After I get that, I want to switch to Matty and Mina. I accidently deleted one of the shorts I wrote this spring. I have to rewrite it, and then, if I can’t get anymore out of Pittsburgh, I might jump over the Haven novels and see what I can do there.

But I’m back again, and trying to be the writer that I used to be, just with some changes now.
