We’ve had a wet, if snowless winter so far, but that all changed on Saturday. I woke up ready to go shopping for projects and my table, only to find several inches outside and more coming. And that’s about how it’s going to be the rest of this week.
So, no walking the dogs, no writing table, no dressers for my kids, and no hardware to fix the drawers in my kitchen. And no real idea when I can go do any of that stuff for at least a week if the forecast hold out.
Is it really that bad out? Meh. Probably not. I know I’ve been out in worse, but dammit I don’t have to go get those things. I can paint some walls, bake just a ton of bread and cakes, and yes, get some writing done.
I haven’t painted (yet), but I did bake a ton of stuff and got some writing done. I have about half of April’s story drafted. Right now, I am sitting by the fire and waiting for the house to get warm enough to do physical therapy. It’s also Monday, so that’s gardening day (I have mostly succulents, cactus, and ivy. They don’t need me that much.), and yeah, I might just paint some walls…
