This might actually work

I did get my tablecloth made yesterday, but I threw out my back doing it. It was a rainy, miserable day, and I didn’t have any dry kindling. So no fire, and I sat in a weird position while hemming. And I hit hyperfocus, so I hand-stitched that hem for two straight hours with no breaks.

By the time I was done, my hips were screaming.

So I went to bed at 1 PM and only got up to make eggs for dinner.

I’m okay today. At my writing table, comfy, if not warm. I’m gonna start my fire soon (hopefully), and try to get a little writing done. I do need to remember my slippers until I get a rug for the table. My rag rug obsession might be rearing it’s ugly head.

I will also post some pictures of my table once I finish in this room. The walls needs to be painted and it cries out for a rug. And some more plants. But the my dogs can see me from beside the fire, the cats can sit on the extra chairs and look outside, I’m close enough to the kitchen to get snacks or drinks without breaking my flow, and my solid maple chair is comfy and supports my lower back. As long as I remember to get up and stretch, I may finally have a writing spot in my house.
