I head back to work next week. I did quite a bit. Strangely, not the #1 thing on my list, but not through lack of trying on my part. We might still be able to fix that damn drawer.

My kitchen is not ready to be painted, yet. But it’s so much closer, and I will be ready this summer.

I did get my writing table, which yes, is working out beautifully. I will be writing all this week and doing lots of web site maintainence.

I didn’t get Parker to wear his Karen wig unassisted either. Still working on that.

Today is going to warm, sunny, and beautiful. A balmy 65. So it’s dog bath day. And they can sun outside to dry off completely.

My most exciting news is the stand mixer though. My husband bought one as a surprise for me, and I can finally make same day bread again without throwing out my back. The kids are stoked that kneading bread is now optional. And I’ll let you know how the cheesecake turned out tomorrow. The chocolate cake was gooey and amazing, but my strawberry- whipped cream needed more strawberry flavor.

Yeah, I will baking, writing, and scrubbing for the next five days.
