So my job has an annual art show, and this year we switched it from Fall to Spring. And normally we’re fighting to get everything done between the end of summer (a busy time for us) and the beginning of fall (a busy time for everyone else).
And with the switch, we used our downtime in the not busy season to get soooo much done, so much earlier than normal. It’s been busy, but not stressful. We’re waaaaaay ahead of all our deadlines.
However, last week was the start of my Hell Week. From Wednesday to Wednesday, I need to be on my feet, hauling and lifting, every day, for hours, and then I have to hang the lights. So I am sore and tired, and spending my entire time off burritoed into my electric blanket while whacked out on muscle relaxers.
Needless to say, not much writing getting done.
The good news, we’re done with the truly physical stuff this week. Tuesday and Wednesday will be very, very rough, but I can put off the lighting for a day or two if need be. By this time next week, I should be right as rain. I am bringing my heated blanket to the museum though. I have zero problems laying on the floor of the back office, wrapped up for 20 minutes.
