Summer Insanity

It’s too nice to do anything. Which is an unusual statement from me. I love self-publishing. I love being my own boss, and I’m actually very good about keeping myself on task. I just wish I got paid.

So for me to be daydreaming out the window about sunshine and taking warm, reading naps under the tree… That’s just plain weird.  I have a few critiques to read through, and a ton more to give out, not to mention getting the omnibus edition ready for print… and I don’t want to.

I want to go to the lake, and be a bum for a few days. I want wake up, knowing that I have no responsibility for the foreseeable future.

In short, my ungrateful spawn are making me want some summer vacation. I’m thinking about giving in for a few days too. They are done with school on Wednesday. By Saturday, we should all be on our organic schedules. Meaning that I’ll be more productive because I won’t be forcing myself to be awake.

I have exactly two weeks to get the omnibus edition formatted, and a blurb written. It’ll be tight towards the end (probably), but  that’s the downside to being my own boss. When things go bad, I only have myself to blame.
