The dangers of frankensteining

I’ve talked a little bit about my novel, The Red Witch, and how I’m frankensteining it together, cutting apart old drafts, and adding in new bits to create a cleaner story.

And yesterday I ran into the pitfalls of such a thing. I cut the introduction of five supporting characters and didn’t notice.

My critiquer sure as hell did.

So this morning, I need to add that back into the story. Incidentally, adding a few hundred words into an already long chapter.

Back to work
