I’m trying desperately to finish the rough draft of the sequel to Hedge Doctor before summer is over. Originally, I wanted to finish this month, but that’s not looking feasible. Especially since I decided I needed revamp a few things.

Normally, I don’t worry too much about reworking scenes until I finish the draft, but this piece has been a massive pain in my butt. I’ve known the story for a while, but can’t seem to get words out.

But sometimes tightening up the beginning opens the flood gates and I can get things moving. Also, I think I need more subplots to jump start the main plot.  Not nearly enough tension over all. Conflict is what drives story after all.
