Word, I have words! Just not the right ones

So Wednesday night, I stayed up way too late reading my old Pittsburgh stories. And Thursday morning, in my head, over and over, all I could hear was Matty saying, “Hey, Sis!” And I wanted to see what he had to say to Mina.

I lamented to my writing buddy and she said, “Write it! Just go.”

And I started. I’m 2010 words into this thing and no idea how long it’s going to go. And I’m kind of laughing at myself because this is almost two Chelsea stories, and half of me thinks I’m doing it because I’m avoiding Chelsea’s next fight scene.

But the truth is this: I used to be able to get 1600 words in 45 minutes, and I used to write for hours at a time. NaNoWriMo was fun, but easy for me. This is a start to how I used to be and what I want to get back. And if I get a fun, short story about my werewolves in Pittsburgh out of it, so be it.
